Okay. Lately, I've been feeling kind of wimpy and like I totally don't have any control over anything in my life, and let's face it folks -- I like to have a least a tiny bit of control occasionally.
So, when I read
kidlit_kim 's blog post today I got all squee.
She's doing a 100 push-up challenge and looking for people to join in. She's using this program and the whole point is that even if you TOTALLY stink at push ups you will be able to do 100 after six weeks.
Do you know what this means?
1. You could have totally hottie arms in six weeks.
2. You could be sooo much stronger in six weeks.
3. You could have a goal and accomplish it! Doesn't that rock? Oh, yes it does....
I'm not actually going for this look.
So, I'm doing it and Kim's doing it. And I know you want to do it, too. Oh, yes, you do... It's cool to be strong.
I've created a community. Come join!
Steps to arms made of awesome:
1. Join the community.
2. Take the initial push up-test
3. Post your starting number at the community or Kim's blog.
4. Start pushing up on June 8th
5. Post your final results on July 18/19.
In other news:
* Kelly Fineman is talking about Shakespeare all month long and she's even got a contest.
* The awesome Shari Green interviewed me and posted it yesterday. We talk about all my horrible nicknames.
* Speaking of horrible: I am still revising. ;(
* The entries in my contest ROCK! They are awesome. Go enter! You could win something goofy.
* I posted about the amazing Melissa Walker, but the time stamp seems to be messed up. So, you might have missed it.

(That may be aiming a bit high, being able to actually DO 100 push ups would be amazing)
I want those arms. I should go find a picture of that.
(Also, my mom and I were in a B&N last week and she pointed to a shelf of your books. There was even a "staff recommends" postcard under them. She said they'd only been carrying NEED so she went to customer service and said how much she liked your other books. They went ahead and ordered the other books, fell in love with them, and apparently decided to stock more! :D)
I love your mother.
YAY!!!!!
Please hug her for me. Soon you will hug her with arms of awesome.
Good luck, all!

Are you going to the Schmooze this month?
I hope so!!!!
It is soon! June 13, I'm pretty sure.

If I am alive after the first 100 I'll let you know heheheheh
You must live through the experience though, okay? Nobody wants hot arms on a corpse.

I know how that feels, actually. Tala and Loverboy are quite the arm-killing pair.
So I just signed up and am psyching myself up for the initial test...
Now you have us.

Cause I can only do like 40 real pushups....and that took like a whole year to get to haha
GO AWAY ASTHMA!
Remind me I said this later.
